“Going to the gym never appealed to me but Disco Fitness sounded fun. I was concerned the class might be full of perfect looking people who knew exactly what they were doing and that I would struggle to keep up and stand out like a sore thumb!
However, Charlotte’s classes are great. She explains everything really clearly and is always really encouraging. It’s the kind of class where it really doesn’t matter if you go wrong – nobody judges you.
I now actually enjoy keeping fit as a result of coming to the classes! I had always seen exercise as a bit of a chore before but Disco Fitness is more like a dance class and is fun – I hate to miss it!”
Mairead Ritchie“I hated PE at school, and wanted to find a way of exercising that didn’t feel like torture! I was a bit nervous that everyone else would know what they were doing and I wouldn’t but the classes are friendly and relaxed. Working with Charlotte has been brilliant because she gets you working up a sweat but always with a smile and plenty of encouragement.
I now have the confidence to have a go at things I wouldn’t have done before and I feel comfortable in my own skin. I feel fitter and healthier than ever.”
Linda Riches“Before starting Charlotte’s classes I hadn’t exercised for a good 15-20 years. I’d danced before when I was younger, and was keen to get fit but unsure of what to do. I can’t bear the gym and normal aerobic style classes are just so boring. I felt very unfit, overweight and self-conscious. I didn’t want to draw attention to myself or find I was completely unable to keep up.
I needn’t have worried though, they are a lovely group of ladies and no one is there to judge. It’s just about having fun whilst getting fit. Charlotte is a fantastic instructor, she makes you feel comfortable, confident, and is very clear with instructions and guidance. It’s clear she has a real passion for dance and this shines through in her classes.
I’ve gained confidence, lost weight, I’m on the road to getting fitter and the classes have given me back some me time.”
Mel KirbyI found it hard to fit exercise into my life as I’m so busy with my children but I noticed results even from just one Disco Fitness class a week.
I have become much more toned since working with Charlotte. I felt self-conscious before I started but that’s not the case now – it’s the kind of class where it really doesn’t matter if you go wrong, it’s just funny!
Jo PriceWorking with Charlotte is great fun, she is very encouraging and enthusiastic! I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to keep up with everyone as I felt that they would all be younger than me.
This definitely isn’t the case though. My confidence has really increased as a result of doing Disco Fitness classes.
Annie ScrimgeourBefore starting Disco Fitness, I was very sceptical about exercise… I’ve been to gyms but they’re so boring, repetitive and uncomfortable. I decided to do a free taster with my mum and her friend and off we went for our first class. Before we knew it, an hour had gone by and we were heading back off home. Exhausted! But a real sense of achievement. Even for someone, who I’ve now established has no coordination and two left feet!!
I’ve been attending the classes ever since – I’ve not missed one yet! But better still, I love going. And I’m losing weight and inches.
Getting out of the house, meeting new people and actually enjoying doing exercise. I’ve even gone to the classes on my own!! Which is something you’d never, ever have got me to do before. The ladies who attend the class are all so welcoming and encouraging. They’re fun routines, songs you love to sing along to and even over time, when one comes on the radio, you’ll find yourself doing the routine.
So if you’re thinking about coming… come on, give it a try. We were all new once so we know how you feel… But honestly, you won’t regret it!
Jen LarkinI was looking for a way to get fit and improve my stamina but the gym bores me and is expensive. I wanted something where I could get fun and fitness, with the company of other people that weren’t judgemental. Initially I thought my stamina wasn’t up to it, I could barely get through 10 mins in the first class, however after just a few sessions I have noticeably got fitter, I can move for longer and put more effort in now.
The classes are welcoming and warm but we work hard, which means I am able to get fit, dance and have fun. The best thing (apart from the people, routines and music) is the fact that it actually works.
I already feel better and like I have achieved something and of course, Disco fitness is great fun!
Kate IngramAs a busy mum of three small children, who hadn’t exercised properly for a while, I was a little apprehensive about taking up exercise again. I knew I wanted to lose weight, so it was with some trepidation that I set off for my first disco fitness class. I really need not have worried. I arrived to great music and flashing disco lights, so I had an inkling I was in for some fun. Disco fitness gives you a real workout, with real women in a fun and supportive environment. I already have more energy and that has given me the impetus to carry on going.
Not sure if you’ll like it? Give the free class a go – there’s nothing to lose!
